Ghosts of the past

Destroyed and abandoned Churches on the West Part of Ukraine. Most of them were built by Austrian, Polish, and Ukrainians. In 1939 red army occupied wester part of Ukraine and executed mass repressions against Ukrainians. Churches were converted to storage rooms and later burned.

Now in 2022 we see the same from Russia. They come to destroy.

Church of All Saints is a ruined sacred building in Godovytsia (Lviv region). It was designed by a popular architect of the late baroque, Bernard Meretyn. The original sculpture Sacrifice of Abraham by Johann Georg Pinsel decorated its altar. This church was also famous for its vault paintings of the end of XVIII century made by O.Rolinsky. It was burned down in the year of 1974

Church of St. Mary Magdalene

The church was built in 1929 in ar-deco style. During WW2 church was partially destroyed by the bomb.. After the war it Was converted to storage place.
